Velociraptor was a meat eating dinosaur. It used its claw of the toe for tearing down and slashing the flesh of other animals. Other dinosaurs who were very much like Velociraptor were Deinonychus and Dromeosaurs. They were usually found in groups. Single-handedly, a Velociraptor could kill small animals such as lizards, small mammals, and small and young dinosaurs. But when they hunted in groups, they killed the large and big animals such as homocephale and even the more large hadrosaurs. In a group, they would form a circle keeping the prey in center and this left no chance for the prey to escape.
Protoceratops, an herbivorous dinosaur and also a close relative of Triceratops, was considered to be the favorite food of Velociraptor. Protoceratops with no horn has the shape and structure of a pig. The fossil remains of the Protoceratops and Velociraptor were found together and in deathly pose depicting a picture as they were fighting each other and died there.
