Here are some facts on the Velociraptor:
Dud-sized Velociraptor was smaller to Deinonychus and Achillobator of the same species, but did not have any similarity in structure. Velociraptor was two-footed, feathered meat-eater with long firm tail and sickle-shaped claw, which helped it during hunting.
Velociraptor, one of the species of dinosaurs, has become very famous due to the blockbuster movie Jurassic Park. But the real physical structure of the Velociraptor is very different from what the movie has shown. This is a proven fact based on numerous researches and studies conducted by paleontologists on the fossil remains of the dinosaur.
Velociraptor was a fast runner, and had very sharp edged and curved teeth which were 80 in number and nearly 2.5 centimeters long. It had a neck similar to S shape. It had three fingers in each hand, very long and thin legs and had four-toed feet. The head of the Velociraptor was nearly seven inches or 18 centimeters long. It was able to run at the speed of 40 mph or 60 km per hour, and it was nearly five to six feet long, three feet tall and seven to fifteen kilos in weight. The long and firm tail helped the dino in balancing and for taking fast turns. It is considered that the brain of Velociraptor was comparatively large in comparison to the size of its body.
