The Brontasaurus came into existence during the Jurassic period nearly 150 million years ago and became extinct during the Cretaceous period before 60 million years. Initially, the fossil remains were found in the year 1877. It was the juvenile remains of the species. When another set of adult remains were found two years later, scientists believed that these belonged to a different species of dinosaurs!
